Saturday April 20, 2019 at Pelican Cinemas, 2643 Biehn Street in Klamath Falls, Oregon.
Feature film begins at 6pm followed by Q&A with filmmaker Skye Borgman
Presented by SmithBates Marcomm Solutions "Abducted in Plain Sight" is the stranger-than-fiction story of the Brobergs; a church-going Idaho family that fell under the spell of a sociopathic neighbor who would stop at nothing to be with their twelve-year-old daughter.
The documentary chronicles the events surrounding the double abduction of Jan Broberg in the 1970s and tells the story of one family’s struggle with desire, deceit, faith and forgiveness. The Broberg’s troubling admissions reveal epic failures and untold personal dramas that point to the biggest tragedy of all – that these crimes could have been prevented.
Filmmaker Skye Borgman is currently a Professor of Cinematography at USC but also a Klamath Union graduate who still has family in Klamath Falls. The film has been on the festival circuit and is generating a lot of buzz. Skye will be in attendance for a Q&A with the audience after the film! Click to watch the trailer above.
