Klamath Film will present its 2022 Youth Film Fellowship July 11-15, 2022 at Klamath Community College. Free for students in grades 6-12, the event is a FREE film camp teaching filmmaking fundamentals to youth in a fun, engaging way with professional film equipment and daily interactions with Hollywood film industry professionals detailing how they use the lessons taught that day in their respective professional careers. Free lunches will be provided – camp is limited to 20 students.

Over five days (sessions 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.) students will get hands-on experience with film equipment and the basic know-how to use it — cinematography, scriptwriting/storytelling, lighting, audio, acting, and editing. At the end of the camp students will be provided with equipment and software to be able to make their own short film, then reconvene in late August for a public film showcase where a cash prize and automatic entry into the Klamath Independent Film Festival will be awarded to one student film.

The film camp will be led by Kurt Liedtke (Klamath Film Board Chair / KCC Videographer) with assistance from filmmakers and the KCC Digital Media Design program.

Parents/guardians may enroll their student at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/klamath-film-youth-film-fellowship-tickets-352886451877.
