Klamath Film’s August member meeting returns to in-person get-togethers and will again also be online via Zoom, but moving to the SECOND Thursday of the month to not interfere with Third Thursdays events downtown. This will be the last second Thursday meeting, starting in September we will return to the third Thursdays of the month. The meeting is free and open to the public. The meeting is also offered simultaneously online now via Zoom.
Join us on Thursday, Aug. 8 at 6 p.m. to network with other filmmakers, actors, and film fans in Southern Oregon, and join in our chat with our featured guest: cinematographer Kurt Rauf.
Kurt Rauf has worked extensively as a cinematographer and director, having studied at the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit, Mich. Credits include commercial and creative projects such as ShoBox: the New Generation, Wayne Newton: Welcome Back, Gameworks Arcade, and Locker Room Bullies.
He got his start in the industry working on The Evil Dead, both behind the scenes and on-camera as “Fake Shemp.” This project adorned him to Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell, with whom he has collaborated with for many years. His credits with Campbell include serving as Director of Photography on My Name is Bruce, Running Time, and Campbell’s latest feature film shot in Ashland summer 2024.
