The 6th annual Klamath Independent Film Festival picks up right where we left off, continuing our run as the leading all-genre, Oregon-centric film festival. NEW $100 STUDENT PRIZE CATEGORY FOR KIFF2018! For more info click here.
This is a special opportunity to see the short films nominated for the upcoming 2018 Oscars. These films don't tend to show in theaters or be easily available for rent, but Klamath Film and OIT/OTB are bringing them to you Saturday March 3 in the main auditorium of the Student Union. The short film format tends to allow films to be more adventurous in subject matter and craft...and audiences get to experience a little something for everyone with 10 films, both animated and live action, mashed into one evening.
The animated shorts will begin at 5pm, live action shorts to begin around 6:30pm after a short break. $8 at the door for the whole program, or $5 with student ID.
Join us for our monthly meet and greet, Tuesday April 17, 2018, 6-8pm in the banquet room of Waffle Hut at 106 Main Street in Klamath Falls, where you can find out more about Klamath Film and talk to other filmmakers about current local film projects!

THEATER TRAILER SCREENWRITING CONTEST!!
Contest Deadline March 31, 2017
Coming Attractions audiences are about to see your work!
This year's Klamath Independent Film Festival will be hosted in part at the Ross Ragland Theater, and at Coming Attractions' Pelican Cinema in Klamath Falls. In the weeks leading up to the festival this Fall, we will be running a series of promotional trailers through regional Coming Attractions Theatres; currently Pelican Cinema in Klamath Falls, Varsity Theatre and Ashland Street Cinema in Ashland, with additional theaters under consideration, but not yet determined.
We want the audience's attention to be drawn into the trailers as though they are previews for actual movies...a fictional scene or short film, or "mock" movie trailer, all with production values comparable to an A-list film...and are reaching out to all you filmmakers and/or screenwriters for ideas, in the form of a shooting script. Our promotional trailers will be selected from your submissions, and you may even get the call to direct/produce your idea itself! The trailers we choose will run before ALL movies in each selected cinema. That's right, your trailer will be seen before Hollywood features running in the weeks ahead of KIFF2017!

Les Miserables DVDs Delivered
The first 40 DVDs for the Ragland's recent production of Les Miserables have begun to be delivered to the Ragland. Due to the length of the program and dual-layer discs they have to be recorded to, duplicating the discs takes longer than anticipated. We could have delivered a smaller batch earlier in the week, but were asked to wait to deliver a larger batch.
The Ragland is currently in lockdown due to the Lonestar concert, but we are told cast and crew can begin picking up discs Monday. We will also be delivering another batch of 40-50 DVDs after 4pm Monday, with the remainder to follow later in the week.
