Hollywood producer with Oregon ties to join October Klamath Film meeting online
Klamath Film meetings once again return post-Klamath Independent Film Festival in October to meet and network among filmmakers and fans in the Klamath Basin, and welcomes back our monthly featured guest series for a discussion about movie-making.
The October meeting will take place on Thursday, Oct. 1 at 6 p.m., presented both in-person on the Mia & Pia’s Pizzeria and Brewhouse patio (3545 Summers Lane in Klamath Falls) and online via GoToMeeting.
The meeting’s featured guest will be Max Siemers, Hollywood film producer who has worked on multiple films and television programs for studios such as Paramount Pictures, Spyglass Entertainment, The CW, Awesomeness TV, Lionsgate Films, Chapter One Films, and currently with Ace Entertainment.
Siemers is a University of Oregon graduate who got his start in the industry as an intern with Paramount and Spyglass, before becoming a Film Development Assistant at Lionsgate. At Chapter One Films Siemers became a Creative Executive, and since has been credited as a producer on 19 different films and TV shows.
His best known works include the “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” film series, “Before I Fall,” “Body Cam,” and six projects currently in various stages of production. His work has received extensive Netflix support as well as theatrical releases.
Participation in the October meeting is free, but guests in-person at Mia & Pia’s are required to wear a mask per restaurant policy and state mandate.
The meetings are offered by Klamath Film on the first Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. as a way to learn and revel in filmmaking in Southern Oregon. Meetings welcome Klamath Film members – ranging from filmmakers to actors to stagehands and film fans.
