Meeting will also feature a short film world premiere
Klamath Film’s monthly member meetings will return in November at a new location – The Ross Ragland Theater’s conference room – featuring a chat with a Hollywood actor and a world premiere screening of a new short film created by Klamath Film members.
The November meeting will take place on Thursday, Nov. 5 at 6 p.m., presented both in-person in The Ross Ragland Theater conference room (200 N. 7th St, Klamath Falls) and online via GoToMeeting.
The meeting’s featured guest will be Chairman Barnes, a veteran Hollywood actor on stage and screen, and an Air Force veteran. Barnes has been a regular on television commercials, programs like American Dreams and The Millers, and film such as Topsy McGee vs. the Sky Pirates and Middle Man.
Barnes has spent over two decades in Hollywood as a working actor, a regular character actor who has also worked extensively in the Los Angeles theater scene. He also served as an awards judge for the 2020 Klamath Independent Film Festival, and was a featured guest at Klamath Film’s Online Film Fellowship in August.
Participation in the November meeting is free, but guests in-person at The Ross Ragland Theater are required to wear a mask per theater policy. In-person meeting attendees are encouraged to order takeout from any of Klamath Falls’ downtown eateries and bring dinner to the theater. The meeting will also feature. the world premiere of a new five-minute short film, “The Ghost of Cadbury,” produced by Klamath Film member Tom Cooley, with several Klamath Film members participating in the film’s completion.
The monthly meetings are offered by Klamath Film on the first Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. as a way to learn and revel in filmmaking in Southern Oregon. Meetings welcome Klamath Film members – ranging from filmmakers to actors to stagehands and film fans.
