In addition to the Board of Directors members appointed to three-year terms, Klamath Film bylaws also include an annual election of two board positions based on nomination and final vote by active Klamath Film members.
At the March 4, 2021 Klamath Film member meeting, the results of a month-long online vote selected Klamath Film members Nick Alexander and Wayne Sweat as the two individuals to fill the one-year elected positions for 2021.
Alexander and Sweat will serve on the Board and Klamath Film sub-committees through November 2021, helping to lead Klamath Film in its various endeavors including the ninth annual Klamath Independent Film Festival (Sept. 17-19), the annual summer Youth Film Fellowship, various film screenings and community outreach projects.
Sweat is a well-known local actor who has appeared in numerous feature-length films and shorts. Alexander is a filmmaker who relocated to Klamath Falls from Ashland last year; his feature-length film “Illegal” won the Best Southern Feature Award at the 2020 Klamath Independent Film Festival.
